Make a Tambourine

We went on another short term mission trip this summer (2008) and this was one of the crafts for vacation Bible School. Below you will find the directions for making a simple tambourine.

	For this project you will need the verse pattern (Psalm 100:2NIV) or a Christmas verse (Luke 2:11 NIV) a small heavy duty foam plate, 6 - 8 jingle bells, 2 chenille stems, a paper punch, glue, and foam stickers (optional)
	Glue the Bible verse on the tambourine. Punch evenly spaced holes around the edge of the plate, being careful not to tear the plate. The number of holes will depend on how many bells you want to use.
	Cut each chenille stem in three or four pieces. Put each piece through the top of a bell. Run the stem piece through a hole in the plate and twist the ends together. Put foam stickers on the other side of the plate if you wish. Now worship the Lord with gladness!
