Make a lion fan

This page has information on how to make a lion fan from a paper plate.

Make a Lion Paper Plate  Fan

We went on another short term mission trip this summer (2008) and this was one of the crafts for vacation Bible School. Below you will find the directions for making a paper plate fan.

You will need a double heavy-duty paper plate (I bought mine at Walmart), a large craft stick, and a glue stick.
Print the lion face and Bible verse. (Psalm 147:5). I printed mine on card-stock. There is one lion face to a page, and two Bible verses to a page. If you want to use a different verse, copy the verse pattern for size and make your own.
Glue a craft stick to the back of the plate. Then glue the verse on, being careful to put glue on the stick as well as the back of the plate.
It will look like the photo when completed. We did the lion fan to this step before taking them on the mission trip. I wanted the back and the stick to be secure before the kids started fanning with them.

The last step is to color the lion, add a self-stick foam nose and glue it to the front of the plate. Now you have a sturdy lion fan.
